PHF Best Offensive Defence Player 2017

Next up in my OTBL Awards for the NWHL’s regular season is the best ‘Offensive Defensive Player’. This is an award that looks for the players from the blue line who can add a bit of firepower along with their defensive duties. First of all I will be considering their production numbers, but will also take into account the line mates that they have been playing with, along with their contribution to the power play.

Looking Towards PHF Season 3 and Beyond

As summer has now arrived, all eyes are firmly set on ‘Season Three’ of the NWHL. For many this season could be make or break for the league, with many star players away at the Olympics and the CWHL expanding to new horizons, rumouring that they will pay their players. PHF Rookie of the Year 2017

With the NWHL having only just completed its second season, “rookie” is a loose term to use. Many of these players have plenty of hockey experience under their belt, having competed at world championships and seen ice time in the CWHL. Having said that, it is still their first season in the NWHL, so it seems only fitting that there be an award for Best Rookie of the Year.
